Since 2006, The Dance Connection (in partnership with Lincoln Village Ministries) has reached out to children ages 8 to 12 years who would not otherwise have an opportunity to study dance (ballet, Jazz, modern & composition). Students are recommended to the program by teachers from various at-risk schools in the Huntsville Madison County area.
Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre is a non-profit organization committed to enriching communities through the promotion of dance as an art form; inspiring students to achieve their individual potential through training and development in the art of dance to the highest standards; and performance of dance as a component of student education. AYBT will be happy to tailor a lecture demonstration for your school or organization based upon your needs.
AYBT will design a program to meet the needs of your school's curriculum. By using dance as the means, you can teach storytelling methods, orchestral music, choreography, history, costuming, and much more.
