Dress Code

There is a discipline and etiquette associated with the art of dance that is an integral part of the AYB education. The following rules are in place in order to create a safe, positive and effective learning environment for all dancers.

Girls:

• DanceFun - Purple or black leotard, pink footless tights;
  Pre ballet - Pink or black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes;
  Ballet - Black leotard (any style), pink tights, pink shoes.
   
• Boys:
  Ballet – Black tights, leggings, jazz pants or bicycle shorts, white T shirt, black shoes.
  Jazz and Tap – any leotard with jazz pants or bike shorts, black shoes.
   
• For the convenience of our dancers, tights are available for purchase in our office.
   
• Only wedding rings and stud earrings for class. Please leave all other jewelry at home or in dance bag.

Participation in class is dependent upon following the dress code. If needed, students may purchase a hair kit from the office or their teacher.
